AROUND THE HOUSE

The house is adorned with various Irish decoations and you can pass the time reading some of the plaques with the Irish proverbs dispersed throughout the home. Don't leave without seeing the namesake piece over the doorway of the living room where you will find a shadow box with the "Golden Shamrock." Each leaf stands for all the components of a successful business which are "faith, hope, love, and a little bit of luck."

In addition, you will find some interesting conversation pieces with an Adirondack touch. In the living room, you will see a handcrafted Tug Hill clock among other interesting displays.

What's In A Name?
Why We Use A Shamrock...

A shamrock is really a clover plant. A four leaf clover is said to be lucky. The name for our bed and breakfast was derived from a family gift of a golden shamrock, which reads...

"One leaf is for Hope and one is for Faith and one is for Love, you know, and God put another in for luck."

The name fit all the ingredients of starting a new business.

We look forward to making your stay with us a memorable one...
